Tony Novelli
Tony Novelli is presently the co-director of the Development Center for Appropriate Technology, and has a background in technology development and nonprofit management. He has helped launch a local green jobs program, established the Tucson Green Jobs and Sustainable Community Coalition, and is a workshop presenter on topics of natural building, sustainability, and the future of activism.

In this session we will begin by watching an inspirational video of Van Jones. Tony will then discuss how President Obama’s economic stimulus plan is redefining the landscape of community development. Tony brings a fresh collaborative approach to activism, and sees the New Green Deal as an opportunity for us to mobilize the resources that are truly renewable: hope, compassion and creativity, in order to build a resilient community. There will be time for discussion on this most important topic.
